Stuck in the Middle
I wasn't aware this was a religion-themed book when I picked it up and at moments I felt some things were unnecessary, almost as though the author was trying to convert me during my leisure time. The writing itself was good, a little too "southern" for my taste, even though I was born in the Midwest, if I wasn't currently living in the South I would totally not have gotten a few of the references/why the characters chose to drink tea and water instead of wine on dates.
