Little Earthquakes

Little Earthquakes - Jennifer Weiner This isn't a book I would have picked up on my own. My sister lent it to me and I surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this book. It's a book about babies and pregnancy, something I myself do not have an interest in for a few more years.

It wasn't until after I read the book and was Googling the author (some weird habit I've seemed to pick up after every read, that is if I can hold off until the end) and I realized that I've read another one of her books a year or so before. I should have known, there were a few similarities that you don't really come across in chick-lit (like chubby/obese main characters). I enjoyed how the chapters were broken up into one of the four main character's points of view. I thought the struggles the author put each of them through was a good fit for each character and I enjoyed how the characters worked through their issues rather than just taking the easy way out.

Reading this book came at a good time for me as I have currently been in a book-rut and needed this light read to keep my spirits up.
