I Like Books

I unintentionally read Gillian Flynn's books in order from most recently published to first published. While I wasn't aware of that until today it became clear to me while I read. Gone Girl was nothing short of amazing. I loved the whole bit and am looking forward to the movie in October. Dark Places was good. A bit weird but still kept my attention. But this, this is a first book. As you read you can tell the author is trying to find her footing. She has a voice but it's not yet trained and defined. It's still young.

Now the ending however, that did pull me in. The last twenty pages or so-I was tricked and I liked it. If only the last twenty pages were like the rest of the book.
